Why take Permaculture Design with us?

Here at PRIO, we are striving to build the first Garden of Eden in the South Okanagan.  Permaculture is the perfect vehicle because it encompasses all that we are passionate about :  "Earth Care, People Care and Return of Surplus". The future of this little plot, we call Paisley Permaculture Farm, is to be a permaculture  paradise, a place of experimentation, forest building, and habitat building for animals both domestic and wild, and also for the people who choose to work and dedicate time to building it and maintaining it in the future. SOCE is the best way to create a system of exchange for all participants. Do you want to build a farm community and take on the responsibility of food security? Only when we take responsibility for ourselves do we gain greater freedom and begin to remove the shackles of the current flawed food system. Food security is the greatest act of rebellion against a corrupt system. The peaceful rebellion has begun. Come join us! Laurette Anderson is the teacher of this course and one of the dedicated creators of this farm. A high school teacher since 1987, and a graduate of Geoff Lawton's Permaculture Design Course, she will get you off to a good start with a thorough understanding of the concepts. Laurette walks the talk, by creating a level playing field for all, who have the desire to study permaaculture, to pay through dedicating time at the farm as a form of partial payment for the course. Also, the offer to become part of a farm forest community and live in and enjoy the garden created. Nowhere else will you find this opportunity. This course is uniquely designed for permaculture-passionate people. Welcome aboard!
